No. Kilovolt's standard model is zero investment for the property owner. We cover the full cost of equipment, installation, grid connection, and maintenance. You provide the space — we do everything else. Co-investment options are also available if you'd prefer a higher revenue share.
A single DC fast charger needs approximately 100–150 sq.ft plus vehicle movement space. A double-gun DC fast charger needs 200–300 sq.ft. AC slow chargers need roughly 3ft × 5ft wall space plus one parking slot — ideal for hotels, resorts, and overnight parking. We assess every site individually.
We work with highway land, petrol pumps, hotels and resorts, dhabas and restaurants, commercial properties, malls, parking lots, and fleet parking locations. Key requirements are good road access, safe vehicle entry and exit, and daily traffic. We evaluate every enquiry individually.
Property partners earn a revenue share from every charging session at their location. You receive regular payouts with full transparency on usage data. The exact percentage depends on site quality, traffic, and the model chosen — agreed during the partnership discussion.
A 3-phase connection with at least 25 kW sanctioned load is preferred for DC fast chargers. A minimum 7.4 kW free load is needed for AC slow chargers. Kilovolt assists with upgrades where needed and covers cabling up to 25 metres from your meter room at no cost.
Kilovolt is fully responsible for all maintenance, remote monitoring, software updates, and technical support. You have zero maintenance obligations.
Once the site is approved and agreements are signed, installation typically takes 4–8 weeks including civil work, electricity connection, and equipment procurement.
Kilovolt is actively expanding across India with a focus on national and state highway corridors. We welcome enquiries from all states — Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, and beyond.
